Lemon Creek Fuel Spill

Summer 2013

When a tanker truck carrying 33,000L of Jet Fuel tumbled into remote glacial river in BC’s Slocan Valley, Strategic was tasked to work with Western Canadian Marine Response, SNC Lavalin and Quantum Murray. Working in the Emergency Operations Centre and out on the water, Strategic played a key role in preventing the spread of fuel into the Columbia River and participated in shoreline assessment and clean up activities for nearly six weeks through to completion.
